FAQ

Do you make custom boards and tables?

Absolutely! We would love to work with you to create the perfect board or table for you. Please click the link below and let us know what you are looking for. We will respond to get more details to make it just right.

Are your charcuterie boards food safe?

Yes, they are. The epoxy we use is certified food safe once it is cured. The only finish we use is food grade mineral oil and beeswax.

Can I cut on your boards?

Our epoxy charcuterie boards are designed as serving boards for precut meats, cheese, olives, etc. Sharp utensils will leave marks, especially on the epoxy. The epoxy is very hard and will dull your knives faster.

We do make solid wood cutting boards also. Feel free to use them as your would any other cutting board.

How do take care of my board?

You can wash with warm water and light detergent. Dry off immediately. After several washing, apply mineral oil, board butter, etc. Leave on for at least an hour and buff off excess with clean cotton cloth.

It is best to avoid olive oil and nut oils. They can go rancid and make your board unsafe.

Each of our boards come with a care card. We are also happy to answer any other questions you might have.

Where do you get your wood?

Mostly from local sawmills in the Phoenix area that process trees that have fallen or were taken down for non-commercial reasons.

Examples of local wood we use are mesquite, acacia, carob, olive, eucalyptus, and indian rosewood (aka sissoo.)

Other woods such as walnut, maple, and cherry do not commonly grow here. We get those from out of state millers.

Do you support urban logging/lumber?

Absolutely! We love to use wood that is otherwise going to a burn pile or the landfill. This allows us, and other woodworkers, to give beautiful pieces of wood a new life.
